I vigorously tested these as in the past I have had several types and with this brand by Conair, I have never had an issue. I pulled and stretched as hard as I could. It didn't break, It did not unravel, as always Sc&uuml;nci held to it's high Standards of great quality product. No hair pull outs easy to use and easy to remove. When received i was a bit hesitant due to the fact the hair ties closure looks to be glued together and afraid it would snap on my hands/fingers when trying it out. But to my surprise they held together pretty well without any issues! I only had 1 snap on me when trying to do a ponytail but when the hair tie did snap it did NOT hurt me in anyway. I also made sure to try out each one as much as possible because i wanted to see if they would lose their elasticity. They did NOT! I liked this so much i went out and bought 2 packs as my daughter now uses them. And if i ever misplace, snap, lose etc any hair ties these are the ones i will go back to buying. Right away I noticed that they were loser and not so tight. The hairband held my hair in a ponytail all day long and my hair is fairly long, alkost to the middle of my back. Not once during the day did I have any discomfort or pain at my roots or on my scalp. My daughter has very thick and wavy hair, and mist elastics just don&rsquo;t work well. They usually loosen after a little while and her ponytail starts to fall. These are bigger and thicker, and have tons of stretch so they don&rsquo;t snag or break her hair. They also hold her hair so well without being too tight. The band itself is bigger around than a traditional hair band. That makes it so much easier to wrap around more times so that it will hold much more firm than a small band that you can only wrap twice. It's also nice and thick! It's definitely not something that would easily slip through-out the day whether you're playing sports or just sitting at a desk. I also really like that they are metal free. Your strands don't get stuck in the metal closures that way. Being classic black, your hair really stands out and you don't really notice the band much. If you like to pop, then maybe you would prefer something more colorful. Overall, these are some really fantastic bands for thick hair! For those with thinner hair, I wouldn't recommend as I think they would be just too much! These work great! I can put my hair up and it's still in the same place hours later! It doesn't fall at all! These are fairly large, which is perfect for all of my hair. I still have a few hairs on them when I take them out, but be honest, is there really one that WON'T do that?? I've not found them if so!
