They did not snag, like hosiery usually does(when I hear hosiery I think of panty hose, and did kind of notice that they do resemble because the ties to shrink back like at first use) with my rough hands. I wrapped in my hair as I would the other ties that I use and I couldn't tell the difference, no hair pulling when I took it out either. I would definitely recommend these, especially if you like soft and durable hair ties. I love the color variety which goes with different shirts. I have these ties one on my wrist, a couple in my purse and in my car. It is easy to create a ponytail ,they hold my hair pretty well. I have thick hair so I really like these. My hair is also wavy and this doesn't snag.
